Project brief: Extension of an existing cellar to create a full width utility room, wine room and storage area and a ground floor side return extension, garden work and internal redecoration throughout.
Having previously had the loft and pod converted, our clients wanted to extend their existing narrow cellar to the full width of the property to house a bespoke wine cellar with a full height glass wall to frame this beautiful feature. Also fitted into this space designed by BTL Design was a generous utility room and useful storage area. By moving the white goods, boiler, hot water cylinder, underfloor heating manifold and electrics into the cellar they were able to maximise the space in the kitchen/living room which was formed with a new side return extension. Full width slide-and-pivot doors into the garden completed the kitchen look allowing one to move between the small but well-formed garden and the main family living space effortlessly.
The project was finished off with a new 1st floor bathroom, redecoration throughout and a smart front garden.
